Domenick Bianco
Vineyard Manager
Domenick Bianco is a fourth-generation grape grower living and working in the Napa Valley. Prior to acquiring Michael Wolf Vineyard Services, he was the Senior Vineyard Manager for the iconic Joseph Phelps Vineyards in St. Helena.
Domenick's first step into the fine wine world was working for Hall Wines, originally as their Viticulturist and Grower Representative, and later as their Manager of Vineyards and Growers.
Over the years he has managed vineyards and worked with growers in the Willamette Valley, Sonoma County, Sierra Foothills, Mendocino County, Santa Lucia Highlands, Paso Robles, and Santa Ynez Valley.
As Vineyard Manager for Joseph Phelps he rebuilt the vineyard team from 16 to 60 people strong with a near 100% retention rate. He was the first vineyard manager in the winery's history to hire female crew members in Napa. Domenick was also instrumental in expanding the wineries vineyard sustainability programs while converting the Sonoma Coast Vineyards to full Organics.
In 2022 Domenick was chosen to attend the Moet Hennessy Forum Pellion in Northern Italy as a representative of Joseph Phelps. The Forum was composed of 15 wineries spanning 4 continents and focused on the future of viticulture and luxury wine across the word.
Domenick is driven to work with vineyards which focus on producing the highest quality wines possible while respecting the land. He understands the dedication and commitment needed to make fine wines and respects those who labor to make our goals possible.
When he isn't walking vineyards, Domenick loves spending time with his wife and two kids, exploring and traveling. He is an avid runner, often training for an event, but can also be spotted riding his road bike around Napa County.
